What an energy today, on the second day of Techsylvania conference! We have good reasons to say that, with all the speakers in the house taking on some hot and great topics that really challenged us to look into the tech and innovation world a little bit further.
The day started with Mark Shuttleworth, the Ubuntu founder who gave us a demo on how IoT and programming will be changed in the future, making all the developers in the room quite happy.
He was followed by more than 20 speakers that chose to speak on diverse and revolutionary subjects such as the next step in mobility, leadership, space economics, meat processing, product development and new models of advertising.
To that, we can add the two revelatory panels about women in tech and things to do (or to avoid) when pitching an investor, some really interesting workshops and let’s not forget, the pitching moment from the teams participating in the Startup Avalanche competition.
With more than 1100 participants, the networking sessions were on as well, making it clear that Cluj-Napoca has a strong tech community that is eager to transform the local market.
The conference content was supplied with even more know-how during the workshops delivered by Techsylvania speakers and participants. The series of workshops has started with Stefan Fountain’s PR strategy lessons, followed closely by Andy Tailor with a workshop on Adhocracy and building innovative organisations. Catalin Golban concluded with a tech workshop on Driver Assistance Systems.
Speaking of networking, we must thank our partners, Riverbed and Telekom, who hosted the coffee breaks, respectively the lunch, making it easier for people to interact with each other and be energised throughout the entire day of the conference.
To the public as well as the jury’s delight, the winners of the day were the people from Planable, who convinced us during the pitching sessions for Startup Avalanche that they by all means deserve to win the big prize, which is a trip to Silicon Valley offered with Microsoft’s support.
With all that in mind, we must thank the entire organising team coordinated by Oana Petrus and Vlad Ciurca, who did such a wonderful job putting together the pieces of a huge event, our charming host, Philipp Kandal, our partners from Telekom, Accenture, Riverbed, Banca Transilvania, Halcyon Mobile, 3Pillar Global Romania, Small Footprint, Yopeso, Macadamian, Xoomworks, Twitter, Bitdefender, Laurentiu, Laurentiu si Asociatii, Yonder, SDL, Telenav, DJI, Always Stay Creative, Microsoft, Frequentis, High Tech Systems, PressOne, Imprezzio Global and Betfair.
The conference ends with a special afterparty in which participants, speakers and special guests get to network and why not, start some new and disrupting projects together.
Thank you all for being part of this amazing experience of Techsylvania 2016 and see you soon with more news to be announced!
